Still Carrying Pain from the Past?
When something overwhelming happens, whether it’s a single traumatic event or a buildup of emotional stress, your brain can struggle to fully process it. That experience can get “stuck,” showing up later as anxiety, panic, avoidance, mood swings, or even physical tension.
Maybe your child is having nightmares, becoming more anxious, or acting out in ways that don’t make sense. Maybe you’re an adult still living with the emotional weight of something you thought you should be “over” by now.
It’s exhausting to keep reliving pain you didn’t choose. But you don’t have to keep surviving. EMDR therapy can help you truly heal.

What is EMDR Therapy
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a powerful, evidence-based therapy that helps the brain reprocess and release distressing memories, trauma, and deeply rooted negative beliefs.
It’s different from traditional talk therapy. EMDR doesn’t require you to tell your story over and over. Instead, it uses bilateral stimulation—like eye movements, tapping, or sound—to help the brain process what’s been stuck and bring the nervous system back into balance.
It’s gentle.
It’s effective.
And it works across all ages: From young children to teens to adults.
Who Can Benefit from EMDR?
EMDR helps individuals of all ages, including teens, young adults, and adults, recover from trauma such as:
Anxiety and Panic Attacks
Childhood trauma
Grief and loss
Medical trauma
Stress
Phobias or Fears
Shame and self criticism
Performance anxiety or Perfectionism
Depression
Self-esteem
What EMDR Therapy Looks Like
In an EMDR session, you’ll work one-on-one with a trained, EMDRIA-certified therapist to safely explore and process painful memories or experiences. You won’t have to relive every detail—instead, your therapist will guide you in recalling specific moments while using bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements or tapping, to help your brain reprocess those memories.
You’ll remain fully in control and present throughout the session. Your therapist will check in often to ensure you feel grounded and supported. While some moments may feel emotionally intense, the goal is never to retraumatize, it’s to help your brain release what’s been stuck and make space for healing.
Clients often leave sessions feeling lighter, more clear, and empowered by the progress they’re making.
